Set Up OKTA Multi Factor Authentication

This article describes how students and employees can set up one or several methods of Multi Factor Authentication(MFA) to access important software such as Surf and Canvas.
Instructions
Please follow these steps only if you have already set up a password. Don’t know how to set up your password? Check out Set Up Your OKTA Account for New Students.
Go to okta.miracosta.edu. Enter your login credentials and select Sign In.
Select Email Authentication Setup.
On the next screen, select Send Me The Code.
Check your email account for an email with a six-digit code and enter it on the next screen in the Verification box. Select Verify. You will receive a MFA Factor Enrolled notification email.
Select Finish to continue.
You may set up another MFA method such as the OKTA Verify app or text notification. Watch this tutorial video to learn how.
