Media Art Technology Server (MAT) | MAT
The Media Art Technology (MAT) Server provide storage for specific MAT classes.
Remote access is provided via the use of a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) client. Some examples of SFTP clients are: CyberDuck, FileZilla, Fetch, WinSCP.
Students who are currently enrolled in ART and/or MAT related courses may access their respective digital drop boxes to submit their assignments.
Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) Settings
To access your respective class folder, enter the following information in the corresponding SFTP client field's:
File Protocol: SFTP
Server: or Host name: mat.miracosta.edu
Port: 22
User name: SURF ID
Password: •••••••• (same as your SURF password)
Path: or Remote Directory (optional): web:/
Uncheck the box for “Add to keychain” (Apple users)
How to transfer files using SFTP
Once you have connected to the MAT server, you will see a similar window with the listed folders respective to the Remote Directory you have accessed.
You may use the Drag and Drop method to transfer files - select a file on the left pane, drag it, and drop it in your respective class folder located on the right pane.
Or you may use the Upload method to transfer files.
